Reluctant to remove card from case but my sanity is important to me so. Take your bank card out of the slot and it stops. There is something with the xploitz hacker instagram that sets it off on the phone. I'm having some improvement with this NFC popup.

I carry a bank card and my State ID in my phone case. It must be related to the bank card and its proximity to something inside the phone. My card was shielded by my driving licence and this was ok for a long time, but since the last update I get the pop up always and continously I had to deactivate NFC The pop-up is not seen on his device I tested with the same cardso this cannot be a limitation of the android 10 version, and there is another way to handle it.

It's very annoying indeed Keymooney New Member. Except that my phone case is the only place for my to carry my bank card! Dadou1 Apprentice. Please discuss with the developers again, that would be of great help! How can we formally raise this as a defect so it gets looked at? Dhil New Member. Featured Video. More Videos. Top Liked Authors. User Likes Count.NFC is a mainstream wireless technology, thanks to the growth of online payment systems like Samsung Pay and Google Pay. Especially when it comes to high-end devices and even many mid-rangers.

In this piece we rundown what it is, how it works, and what it can be used for. This requires at least one transmitting device, and another to receive the signal. A range of devices can use the NFC standard and will be considered either passive or active. Passive NFC devices include tags, and other small transmitters, that can send information to other NFC devices without the need for a power source of their own. These often take the form of interactive signs on walls or advertisements.

Active devices are able to both send and receive data, and can communicate with each other as well as with passive devices. Smartphones are by far the most common form of active NFC device. Public transport card readers and touch payment terminals are also good examples of the technology. Now that we know what NFC is, how does it work? Just like Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, and all manner of other wireless signals, NFC works on the principle of sending information over radio waves.

Near Field Communication is another standard for wireless data transitions. This means that devices must adhere to certain specifications in order to communicate with each other properly.

The technology used in NFC is based on older RFID Radio-frequency identification ideas, which used electromagnetic induction in order to transmit information. The former can be used to induce electric currents within passive components as well as just send data. They can instead be powered by the electromagnetic field produced by an active NFC component when it comes into range. Unfortunately, NFC technology does not command enough inductance to charge our smartphones, but QI wireless charging is based on the same principle.

Electromagnetic fields can be used to transmit data or induce electrical currents in a receiving device. Passive NFC devices draw power from the fields produced by active devices, but the range is short. The transmission frequency for data across NFC is You can send data at either, or kilobits per second.

To determine what sort of information will be exchanged between devices, the NFC standard currently has three distinct modes of operation. The phone is rooted and the new jellybean update applied. I can hit OK and it goes away but within 5 seconds it's back.

It is making my phone unusable. I went into titanium backup and froze all NFC services - that didn't help anything. Any ideas? Then let go. Then Reboot. About to do a TI backup Then I will wipe the phone. Thanks for the suggestion. Whenever you have issues like this. It is best to Wipe. Not really any way around that. I am willing to bet this will resolve all issues. XDA Developers was founded by developers, for developers. However, as good as these devices are, there are unfortunately still a few Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 Plus problems users have to contend with. A slew of display issues have cropped up with these devices. This issue is mostly seen with the larger Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus and at low brightness levels.

Some users have reported that when they unlock the device at night or in a dark environment, the screen automatically becomes dimmer, even though settings like Auto Brightness and Blue Light mode Night mode are disabled. One of the more widely discussed Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 problems so far has been the dead zone on the screen that some users have found. An entire section of the display seems to be unresponsive. Many users have come across dropped frames and lag or stutter when recording video in 4K.

The dropped frames show up in the video playback as well. In some cases, the notification LED shows a standard color regardless of whether you have set up different colors for individual apps.

A lot of users have come across a variety of issues with edge lighting. For others, Edge lighting seems to work only for the stock SMS app and nothing else. This happens regardless of which call recording app you use. This issue affects only the version of the phones powered by the Samsung Exynos processor and not the one with the Qualcomm Snapdragon Unfortunately, there is no solution or workaround available for this one.

Some app developers have managed a workaround that allows for one side of the call to be recorded, but that is as far as it will go. Users who depend on call recording may find this one to be one of the biggest Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 Plus problems around. Samsung has started to roll out native call recording in certain markets like Israel, Finland, Russia, and others where call recording is legal. There is a trial version of the app available so you can check whether it works for you before buying the full version.

Wi-Fi and Bluetooth issues commonly pop up when you pick up a new smartphone, and there have been reports of Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 Plus problems with connectivity as well. Call back later.

While the main issue is obviously the call rejection, users who have paid or limited messaging plans have cause for worry as well. Some users are facing an issue with the speaker of their device.

Users hear a static or cracking noise when watching videos, listening to music, or playing games. A lot of the problems are software related, and will hopefully be addressed in upcoming updates.Visit our Blog to catch up on the latest Community news, tips for your Samsung products and much more! The Future changes shape! Meet the new Samsung smartphone! I use a Samsung case with a card slot, and a card in it.

Been using the same setup on previous android with no issues. The issue is that the pop-up has to be dismissed before interacting with the phone, especially annoying on the call screen as it means pressing twice to hang up the call Meaning most of the time I put the phone down not realising the call is ongoing.

Could you please bring this to the customer experience team and reconsider the design and implementation changes? I noticed the voice recording chime also going off faintly in the background of my calls, but I was using handsfree neckband earbuds and I checked my phone thoroughly for any voice detection prompts open in any of apps on my phone or anything in the background running I have been hearing this periodically during conversations in phone calls. I hope it helps!

Thank you this helped alot.

SOLVED + Guide: Unfortunately, Nfc Service has stopped

Featured Video.NFC technology is gaining steam globally thanks to its many practical applications. But, what is it exactly, and how does it work? It operates within a radius of about 4 cm and provides a wireless connection between your device and another. This allows for two-way communication, with both devices involved being able to send and receive information. While it's just now becoming popular in the States, if you live in the UK, you have probably been using NFC for years now without even realizing it.

Well, that's NFC. The first high street retail chain to introduce was Eat, was back in Now, the same technology is available is most Android smartphones, meaning you can use services such as Google Pay to digitalize your whole wallet. It's very simple. NFC transmits or receives data via radio waves. It differs from Bluetooth in that it functions through electromagnetic induction.

Put the devices back-to-back, and when it asks to confirm the transfer just hit "touch to beam". This can be a slightly tricky process. Navigate to the file you want to share, tap the three tops hamburger icon, tap Sharethen select Android Beam.

When you want to explain the Carcassonne "farmer scoring" rules and have a digital rule book open on your device. When somebody sees you playing a great Android game and wants to get in on the action. There are many occasions when you are required to explain directions to somebody, but with NFC you don't have to. Use Google Maps to create some directions, then slap your phone against another.

Well, it's not useful when you are directing someone to your location. They would already need to be next to you to complete the transfer If you are using an app or playing a game that is already installed on someone else device, you can launch it for them.

Say you are using Google Photos and your friend wants to check their photos too, but can't find that app: tap the phones together and beam. NFC can also be used to make mobile payments from your smartphone or smartwatch. Typically, an NFC tag contains links to a web address, but it can also be set to perform certain actions with your smartphone, like turn on the Wi-Fi, or turn down the ringer.

In theory, these tags could be embedded into just about anything. For example, an NFC tag could be used in a restaurant menu to make the most up-to-date version of it available immediately on your phone. All you would need to do is bring your smartphone into the proximity of the physical menu, and you could potentially browse more detailed information of certain menu items, like nutritional values or ingredients.

For personal use, NFC tags can also be set up to control devices from your phone, for example scanning a tag with your phone could boot up your PC, or you could have a tag on your bedside table that switches your phone to night mode automatically. If you'd like to experiment with NFC tags, there's nothing to stop you from buying some NFC stickers and playing with the possibilities.

NFC communication happens over the air, and there is no real protection against eavesdropping and what is often referred to as man-in-the-middle attacks. However, due to the very close proximity required for NFC to work, these vulnerabilities are not such a big issue. After all, a thief would have to be within centimeters of your deceive to skim your data via NFC.

If you are using Google Pay, you can rest assured that your credit card number is never transmitted.
